I started this blog for two reasons: 1) I don’t have very many people to talk to about this step-mom stuff, and sometimes I feel like I will explode from all the stories, and 2) I dig how the online mom community supports each other and shares advice. Now, the Internet has been my job for a long time — since back in the day when it was assumed people you met on the web would chop you up and put you in their freezer — so I know things can backfire. I know there’s craziness and trolls and other bad stuff. And yet, here I am.
I’d like to hear from you. Truly. Tell me your stories, give me your best recipe for chicken enchiladas, whatever. Got a super cool product you think Claire or I would like? We’re picky ladies, but let’s chat.
And since forms on the Internet haven’t gone out of style, here’s one for you to fill out to get in touch.
You might want to follow my Tumblr, The Binder Project, where I am attempting to cook my way through four five-inch thick binders of recipes I’ve been collecting since 2001. I’ll probably bring some of this content over here when it’s kid-specific, but definitely follow there for the whole shebang.
Or, if you want something completely different, you can check out Vehemently Vintage, where I co-blog with a friend about vintage fashion.
